Public health programs, development and strengthening. Control and Prevention of Malaria in Indigenous Communities

General objective:

Contribute to the development and strengthening of public health programs for the control and prevention of malaria in indigenous communities in the municipalities of Puerto Carreño and Cumaribo in the Vichada department for 2017 to 2021.

Expected results:

1. 30% reduction in the prevalence of malaria.
2. Establishment of the definitive general guidelines of the public health plan.
3. Determination of the results of the implementation of the public health plan.

Territorial Peace and Land Property Rights: Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis Model

General objective:

Design a quantitative and qualitative analysis model to report the degree of territorial peace achieved by the local, regional, and national public authorities during the transition stage in the current peace process with the FARC-EP.
Expected results:

1. A quantitative and qualitative analysis model to report the degree of territorial peace achieved by the local, regional, and national public authorities during the transition stage in the current peace process with the FARC-EP.

2. A methodology for the analysis of qualitative and quantitative information based on primary and secondary information to generate a standard to follow up on property rights and institutional capacity.

Improving educational quality

General objective:

Improve educational quality to enable children, teenagers and young adults to develop skills, knowledge, and ethical values that allow them to understand, transform and interact with the world in which they live.

Expected results:

1. The adapted curriculum will be implemented a year into the project.

2. 80% of the teachers registered went on to training in continuous education.

3. 15% of the students participate in the activities proposed as part of the project.

4. 10% of parents and carers will take part in the “School for Parents”.

Benefits:

Benefits:

The achievement of greater levels of qualification among the human talent at ESE in research and knowledge management.

Support for the creation of the Yopal ESE Research Group.
Requirements for the recognition of researchers and their preparation to be considered as a research group by Colciencias.

Optimizing the production and commercialization of value added cashew products in the Vichada Department, by strengthening the producers’ technical and administrative skills, promoting the region’s economic development.
